This Guide was created based on an assessment of the state of diversity, equity and inclusion among environmental organizations in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and provides recommendations for how organizations working on environmental issues can increase DEIJ within their organizations.

It's been my experience that rarely is disability and accessibility part of the diversity, equity, inclusion and justice (DEIJ) conversation, which I find a little intriguing because disability is a part of all human existence.

Created in 2021, this publication provides examples, advice and guidelines to help land trusts address and remove the barriers that prevent inclusion of people with disabilities in programs and on nature preserves.
