The Mid-Atlantic’s six states (see below) and the District of Columbia are nestled between our New England and Southeast regions. Its 113 land trust members are protecting land in well-loved and nationally renowned landscapes including the Chesapeake and Delaware Bay watersheds, Atlantic Coast, Appalachian and Pocono Mountains and the New Jersey Pine Barrens, along with urban parks and gardens in the metropolitan areas of Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Richmond and other cities.
