About This Webinar
In the nonprofit sector, we’ve all heard some inspiring stories and thought, “Why couldn’t our land trust do that?”
But what makes a great story? And more importantly, what makes for great storytelling? Storytelling is one of our most important and versatile interpersonal communications methods, and no matter where you sit within your land trust, storytelling is something we all do every day. And like any skill, it's something we should all practice.
Join Bold Bison for this highly interactive and participatory workshop where we'll learn new techniques for engaging listeners with great storytelling and practice telling our own conservation stories to each other. Anyone who talks about the work of their land trust to friends, colleagues or decision-makers is welcome at this workshop — and that includes you!
Here's what we’ll do during the webinar:
Discuss classic storytelling techniques that lead to more memorable storytelling.
Practice everyday storytelling techniques in small groups.
Practice telling the story of your land trust, organization or business using new storytelling techniques.
We encourage you to attend the live session to make the most of the practice exercises. However, this webinar will be recorded, and watching the recording and practicing with colleagues is another great way to gain these skills.
This webinar is included in the 2025 Webinar Pass.
