A safe, welcoming and inclusive training space is our priority. The Code of Conduct below expresses what the Land Trust Alliance requires from training and event participants. We will continue to adapt this Code based on feedback and experiences in the coming months and years. Please send comments and suggestions to training@lta.org.
Land conservation is at its best and most enduring when it engages, includes and benefits all people. Everyone deserves to feel safe and that they belong — on the land, in the conservation sector and at Alliance events.
To that end, the Alliance is dedicated to providing a harassment-free learning experience for everyone, regardless of but not limited to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity or religion. We further commit to ensuring safety and inclusion at our trainings and events and to delivering a welcoming and fulfilling experience.
Therefore, all attendees, speakers, volunteers, partners, vendors and Alliance staff at any Alliance event are required to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy and respect for others and maintain professionalism at all conference programs and events. All communication should be appropriate for a professional setting. Harassment, insult or defamation in any form will not be tolerated at Alliance events.
Violations of this Code of Conduct will not be tolerated. Corrective actions may include warnings, removal from the current event and a ban from future Alliance events, depending on the severity of the violation. The Alliance is committed to transparency about the steps being taken to address any violation and building trust in our commitment to a respectful and inclusive environment.
Thank you for helping to create welcoming and safe training experiences for all.
