About This Webinar

Remote monitoring is an incredibly useful tool for many conservation organizations, but if practiced incorrectly, it can become a liability. Join Naomi Brattlof, easement stewardship director at the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, for a detailed look at ensuring your organization’s remote monitoring program is functioning with complete efficiency and in accordance with the best known practices. Naomi has overseen the Forest Society’s remote monitoring program for nearly a decade and continuously works with other conservation professionals to share lessons learned in stewardship enforcement, and most notably, through remote monitoring.

In this interactive webinar, you will learn:

  • How to maintain remote monitoring protocols that align with Land Trust Standards and Practices and Accreditation Requirements.

  • Pointers on maintaining contracts and relationships with imagery providers that also aid in mitigating risks to your organization.

  • Creating and maintaining remote monitoring records at a legally enforceable level.

  • Other general risk assessment analysis tips and tricks for an existing remote monitoring program.

This webinar is built for stewardship practitioners working in existing remote monitoring programs. Expect to participate actively in breakout sessions to test-run lessons learned throughout the webinar. You’ll gain valuable insights to ensure your organization’s remote monitoring program is aiding as a legally sound enforcement tool and reducing overall enforcement risks. We recommend reviewing the Practical Pointer Remote Monitoring: Practices, Limitations and Uses in Legal Defense as well as the webinar recording Understanding Remote Monitoring Principles and Limitations.
