Individual giving is the largest source of charitable giving to nonprofits and a cornerstone of any land trust’s funding strategy.

Secure sustainable funds through individual giving.
Most of the money that goes to nonprofits in America doesn’t come from foundations or corporations. Over 80 percent of it comes from individuals. So, a cornerstone of your fundraising strategy should be connecting with the people in your community who care about conservation and can support your organization with their large and small charitable gifts, year after year.
Individual giving strategies are varied and diverse but most often include annual membership or annual fund programs, major gift programs including family foundation and donor advised fund strategies, monthly giving programs, planned giving programs and capital campaigns and other special gift initiatives. And always remember that stewarding existing relationships can be the most important part of any donor strategy.
