Corporate support for land trusts can come in many forms, from grants and in-kind contributions to cause-related marketing and licensing agreements and, increasingly, employee-driven giving and volunteering campaigns. The most common form of corporate support, however, is event and program sponsorships. No matter what your organization decides to pursue it’s important to learn and follow the many rules governing corporate partnerships with nonprofits, including what’s charitable and what’s not. And remember that the key to corporate support is leading with a sound business case.
