About This Saving Land
The world is changing fast, from technology and culture to just about everything in between, and these changes are playing out in workplaces everywhere. On top of the external shifts, the American workforce is becoming younger and more racially diverse. How do all of these changes impact the values, rules and expectations—or organizational culture—of our workplaces?
Organizational culture is a soft spot in conservation, not fully embraced or recognized as important to prioritize. But it’s increasingly taking center stage for groups trying to create sustainable organizations that are also healthy and equitable places to work.
MARC SMILEY is a principal at Solid Ground Consulting. He has worked with land conservation groups for more than 40 years building the capacity and confidence of leaders to make a difference in their community.
