About This Document
When a landowner hands you a survey they had done, or you find a survey in the process of acquiring a new easement or preserve, it is highly tempting to stash the survey away in the file drawer and forget about it. Some land trusts do this only to find out years later that the survey creates an access road, a land division or a use area prohibited by the easement or that encroaches on the preserve. Then you have a bigger problem! It may also be too late to file a claim with Terrafirma Risk Retention Group.
