About This Webinar

The Land Trust Alliance’s Remote Monitoring Grant Program has regranted funds to 53 land trusts across the country, from all-volunteer land trusts to regional or statewide land trusts. The goal of the program is to learn how this technology can benefit land trust operation, and this webinar will share lessons learned.

Join Kate Losey, Land Trust Alliance, Kaytee Currie-Huggard, The Upper Valley Land Trust  and Will Donahoo, New Mexico Land Conservancy, as they lay out the return on investment from a variety of methods used by land trusts, policies and procedures used to meet Land Trust Standards and Practices and additional benefits seen from using the technology, including tracking climate change, forestry operations, agriculture impacts and habitat restoration.

Here's a look at what we will cover:

  • Return on investment for land trusts with various revenue and staff sizes.

  • Remote monitoring program best practices with examples of policies and procedures.

  • Examples of how land trusts incorporated remote technologies into land management projects.
