The Hollister Ranch is a high-end gated enclave on Santa Barbara County's Gaviota Coast. The trial court granted judgment in favor of the Gaviota Coastal Trail Alliance on its principal claim, finding that the State Coastal Conservancy violated the Coastal Act by agreeing to release the public access easements without following the hearing and fact-finding process.
