About This Event
The Land Trust Alliance's New York Office is pleased to offer this Lunch and Learn session with Beth Golden, legacy giving strategist, and Helen Barton Benedict, the donor relations manager at Lake George Land Conservancy. This session is designed for land trust staff and board members who would like to start or enhance a planned giving program.
Planned giving programs are a natural fit for land trusts because donors who support conservation are already thinking about future generations. The workshop will cover: first steps; creating a legacy society; basic giving vehicles; marketing; stewardship; and special considerations for land trusts. After the workshop, attendees should be able to take some basic steps, such as creating a legacy society and a webpage educating donors about gifts in wills.
