About This Document

Gathering information is about exploring the communities that your land trust serves, gaining an expanded or new perspective on that region and placing land trust activities in the context of history. Different types of information, including inspirational stories and art, local land use history, existing studies (such as biological or other natural or cultural inventories) and demographics can contribute to a strategic conservation plan and help you effectively communicate your goals with various audiences.
