About This Webinar
Is your land trust looking for ways to fund quality conservation practices on the farm and forest lands you own? Are you working with landowners who need investment in solutions that conserve natural resources while improving operations? Join NRCS experts and land trust conservation practitioners for a training on the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. EQIP provides technical and financial assistance to improve water and air quality, conserve ground and surface water, increase soil health and reduce erosion, create wildlife habitat and mitigate against drought and increasing weather volatility.
You’ll learn about the goals and benefits of EQIP and how to enroll. You’ll also hear from peer land trusts who will share examples of how they are leveraging EQIP to integrate conservation practices on lands they own or support landowners in doing the same.
Here’s a look at what we will cover:
What is EQIP and who is it for?
Eligibility requirements and how to work with NRCS to apply.
Examples of EQIP projects, lesson learned and advice for navigating the program.
