About This Document

Commissioned by the Land Trust Alliance and developed by the Great Plains Institute, this curated collection of existing state and local policies identifies key insights to guide land trusts as they engage in energy siting advocacy around the country.

This workbook contains two worksheets that land trust members can use to understand what policies currently exist at the state and local level in the United States and how land trusts can leverage these policies to promote the dual purposes of increasing deployment of solar-photovoltaic energy projects and minimizing their impact on wildlife and ecosystems.
