Developed by the Consortium of Dark Sky Studies to provide simple, non-technical guidance to the increasing number of land trusts seeking to protect the dark sky resource of property subject to a proposed conservation easement.

Included are suggested: i) conservation easement provisions (general, operating farm, historic facade); and ii) stewardship requirement.

About the Author

Janet Muir is a fifth-generation Utahn with an extended New York City sojourn. Retired from McKinsey & Co. (North American Manager, Global Proprietary Knowledge) after a long career in entertainment law and media: business positions with The New Yorker and Esquire Magazines and the media practices of Deloitte and McKinsey.
