Building Collaboration among Community Land Trusts Providing Affordable Housing and Conservation Land Trusts Protecting Land for Ecological Value

The intersection between affordable housing and land conservation is an important and rapidly emerging topic. The purpose of this report is to provide a strong foundation for land trusts to gain literacy in the world of affordable housing, while encouraging cross-movement collaboration.

Discover where land banks, land banking programs, and CLTs (both community land trusts and conservation land trusts) are located across the U.S. and where they may have shared service areas for potential partnership opportunities.

This workshop will help Colorado land trusts explore tools for engaging diversity, equity, inclusion and justice principles in your conservation approach, including methods for building self-awareness by exploring your individual identity, culture and connections to land and community.

The federal government offers many programs that can provide financial resources to land trusts to conserve wildlife on the land that they steward. This tool helps land trusts identify federal programs to fund wildlife conservation based on their individual goals.
