Being Prepared for Climate Change: A Workbook offers place-based organizations a guide to applying risk-based methodology to identify climate change vulnerability and plan to address likely threats to reduce risks. This guidance from EPA’s Office of Water and Office of Wetlands, Oceans, and Watersheds, focuses specifically on water resource stressors, and offers a straightforward approach to risk identification and risk abatement planning. Specifically, the workbook suggests five steps to help land managers identify and rate resource vulnerability and consequences in a preliminary vulnerability assessment process, and then another five steps to guide risk-responsive management planning. Additional resources are provided throughout the document. Questions can be directed to crehelp@epa.gov.
