About This Publication

Community conservation is more about people than acres conserved and dollars raised. In order to appreciate, celebrate and adaptively manage community conservation work, we worked with the land trust community to develop new measures for this new approach to land conservation for the long haul.

With this draft tool, land conservation practitioners have a shared language and understanding around assessing, planning and measuring community conservation. It includes draft measures and instructions for how to create your own. With this, we have a process and format for gathering data moving forward.

Check it out, see if it works for you and your organization, and feel free to provide us feedback.
