The Land Trust Alliance continues to prioritize educating decision-makers and hopes that you will participate in these efforts in one or more of the following ways.

This page includes information on how to:

  • Share your stories.

  • Reach out to your local and state government, members of Congress and Trump administration contacts.

  • Become an Advocacy Ambassador.

Share your stories

Tell us how your work and your community have been impacted.

As the Alliance works to ensure Congress and the Trump administration understand the importance of the work of land trusts and voluntary private land conservation — and the programs and policies that support that work — we need your stories. Communicating the benefits of the federal programs that land trusts utilize, and how these programs are a wise investment, is essential to this task. We’ve created a form where you can quickly provide us with details on how your work and, by extension, your community have been impacted.

Contact your public officials

Reach out to your local and state government as well as members of Congress and Trump administration contacts.

Tell them how your work helps your community thrive — and, if relevant, how cuts in federal funding could negatively impact this work and your community. We’ve created resources and key messages to help you with your outreach.

Questions? Contact policy@lta.org, and an Alliance team member will get back to you promptly.
