Massachusetts Advancing Conservation Excellence program

The Massachusetts Advancing Conservation Excellence program, created in partnership with the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition, is a multi-year effort to provide support and resources to the land trust community in Massachusetts. This initiative aims to elevate capacity and impact, ensuring that conserved lands are protected for generations to come. By guiding land trusts to achieve excellence and promoting best practices, Advancing Conservation Excellence nurtures more sustainable organizations and fortifies a resilient and enduring land trust community. The program was designed in response to an in-depth, collaborative needs assessment that identified the greatest risks and opportunities facing the land trust community.

Many elements of the program are open and do not require an application, allowing broad participation of Massachusetts land trusts without capacity limitations. In contrast, some elements require an application process and have limited availability, meaning spots may be restricted or competitive.
