About This Guidance
Land trusts should use the “Checklist of Required Standard Conservation Easement Provisions” for every transaction. While not intended to be a complete list of topics that may be covered, the checklist includes certain matters that the Treasury Regulations require every conservation easement to address. Learners should use this checklist to review their land trust’s conservation easement template to confirm that these provisions are present.
