The Amador County Unified School District officially opened its first-ever district-wide farm, a significant step towards integrating farm-to-school initiatives. This project, developed in partnership with CalFresh Healthy Living, UCCE, and Mother Lode Land Trust, aims to grow fruits and vegetables that can be served in all school cafeteria salad bars. The farm is a hands-on learning space for students and a pathway for careers in agriculture, environmental science and nutrition.
