The Sheffield Land Trust is dedicated to protecting the land essential to Sheffield’s natural, scenic, agricultural and rural character through a program of stewardship and by working with landowners, farmers and other partners. We help families protect their land to leave a lasting legacy for future generations. We also own land - through gifts or purchase - for agricultural, wildlife, trails, and educational purposes. Our outreach and education work includes property walks, public lectures, collaborating with the schools, our Annual Meeting, photographic and art shows, and more. We also host the Sheffield Tree Project with its mission to plant and care for a diverse population of trees and educate on these topics.
