Land Trust Alliance reacts to release of House and Senate Farm Bill summaries

This week, House Agriculture Committee Chair GT Thompson (R-Pa.) and Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) released title-by-title summaries of their respective versions of the Farm Bill. The following statement on the release of those summaries can be attributed to Lori Faeth, senior director of government relations at the Land Trust Alliance:
The Land Trust Alliance applauds House Agriculture Committee Chair GT Thompson (R-Pa.) and Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) for releasing summaries of their respective versions of the Farm Bill. We are pleased to see many of the Land Trust Alliance Farm Bill priorities reflected in the summaries, which will enable farmers, ranchers and foresters to keep these critical working lands in family hands. We are grateful to Senator Stabenow and Representative Thompson for their leadership, and we urge Congress to move forward in a bipartisan, bicameral manner to pass the Farm Bill this year.
