Deed changes could attract attention when a land trust reports such changes to the agency on Form 990, according to Diana Norriss, conservation defense network and tax manager for the Land Trust Alliance told Law360. Through the form, a reviewer can see that the donor and land trust amended the easement and may want to review the rest of the easement donation for potential IRS issues, Norris said.
