State grant to preserve Rattlesnake Ridge in Amenia

The 260-acre Rattlesnake Ridge in Amenia will be protected with a $350,000 state grant to purchase a conservation easement through the Dutchess County Land Conservancy. “We are grateful for the DEC’s support and leadership in protecting New York’s natural resources,” said Jamie Brown, New York senior program manager for the Land Trust Alliance. “These grants will help to ensure that our forests remain healthy and vibrant for generations to come.”
