Grant to aid in documenting invasive species at GV Conservancy preserves

A grant will help the Genesee Valley Conservancy document that many invasive species found among its nature preserves and help the organization prioritize the removal of the invasive species. The $14,300 grant is provided from the New York State Conservation Partnership Program and New York’s Environmental Protection Fund, administered by the Land Trust Alliance in coordination with the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The grant will allow the conservancy to inventory species on its preserves, map their locations and document their abundance.
