New York joins effort to conserve 30% of land and water by 2030

New York State is joining a national effort to conserve at least 30% of US land and water by 2030. Legislation signed by the governor requires the Department of Environmental Conservation and the Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation to develop ways to achieve this 30 percent goal.
