Ulysses farmland preservation and sale deal used to fund conservation internships

A 73-acre swath of farmland in the town of Ulysses will be protected under a conservation easement. The protected land, located along Wilkins Road, contains agricultural fields, woodland and abuts a tributary creek that flows into Cayuga Lake. The money from the land sale will fund a paid internship program to provide “hands-on experience in land and water conservation.”
