Things to be thankful for: Block Island Land Trust acquires Ball Farm

After many months of meetings with the planning and zoning boards, the 20-plus-acre farm has been subdivided into two lots, facilitating the purchase by the Block Island Land Trust of the majority of the farmland while preserving the portion of the land where the old farmhouse is located for the family.
