St. Mary’s County hits 32,000 acres of protected land in landmark conservation effort

Patuxent Tidewater Land Trust recently secured its 56th conservation easement — a 136-acre farm that’s been in the Carrico family for more than 100 years. These lands will remain farmland forever, thanks to funding from the Rural Legacy Program and support from the St. Mary’s County Commissioners.
