Quad Parcels project gets $1 million donation

The project to restore an area of land near the Celery Fields known as the Quad Parcels has received a $1 million anonymous donation. The rewilding project, a joint venture of Big Waters Land Trust and the Sarasota Audubon Society, kicked off in January with the groundbreaking of the 11-acre southeastern parcel. The Celery Fields is a nationally and internationally recognized birding hotspot and is vital to water quality and flood protection in the region.
