With more urban sprawl moving their way, a couple from Powhatan is taking action to save a piece of the county and protect their four-legged and feathered neighbors. Christopher Benonis and Christine Cadigan-Benonis put 134 acres under conservation easement with the Capital Region Land Conservancy. Their property is part of the Virginia Wildlife Corridor, which is like an I-95 for animals and birds migrating between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Dismal Swamp
