Pennsylvania county set to reach 125,000 acres of preserved farmland

Lancaster County has long been a leader in protecting farms. By the end of this year, it expects to reach 125,000 acres of preserved farmland. That’s about 32% of all agricultural-zoned farmland in the county, says Jeff Swinehart, president and CEO of Lancaster Farmland Trust.
