Palisade orchard protected, land trust nears goal of conserving 1,000 acres of fruit-producing land

The owners of a 13-acre orchard in Palisade have permanently conserved the land to ensure it remains dedicated to agricultural production, protecting prime farmland soils, preserving scenic open space and maintaining the area’s rural character.
