Man puts goat farm under conservation

A Moore County landowner has placed his 43-acre farm under a conservation easement with a land conservation group, preventing it from being developed. Robert Spivey’s farm produces sheep, goats and chickens — an increasingly rare combination in North Carolina, the Three Rivers Land Trust said in the announcement of the easement.
