Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust conserves 54.45 acres of forested land

The Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust announced the permanent conservation of 54.45 acres of forested land just two miles from downtown Highlands. While many assumed the U.S. Forest Service protected this land, it was, in fact, privately owned and potentially at risk for development.
