Easement conserves Westmoreland farmland

Nearly 50 acres of farmland are now protected under a conservation easement, the Monadnock Conservancy recently announced, joining about 350 acres of the dairy farm that the Keene-based conservancy previously put under easement. In addition to fertile farmland, the property has two streams, a wet meadow, a part of an aquifer and a portion of a snowmobile trail that is part of the statewide snowmobile trail network.
