CTUIR leads 450-acre Touchet River floodplain restoration project

The work is part of the Túuši Wána Design Project, a floodplain restoration project led by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Once complete, the project aims to improve Steelhead trout and spring Chinook salmon habitat and have a segment of the river restored to something more similar to pre-European settlement.
