County approves $523,800 to protect potato farm between Manhattan and Churchill

The 185 acres planned for the conservation easement is part of a 191-acre parcel. The farm, owned and operated by Matthew White, produces seed potatoes, wheat, barley and alfalfa. Federal funding through the NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program will assist with the purchase of the easement.
