Conservation easement protects nearly 1 mile of Elkhorn Creek frontage in Franklin County

Nearly a mile of Elkhorn Creek frontage in Franklin County will remain permanently undeveloped after a voluntary conservation easement was placed on the property by longtime landowners Lee and Betty Troutwine. The 100-acre property, located at the confluence of Elkhorn Creek and Sulphur Lick in the Peaks Mill area, has been stewarded by the Troutwines for about 40 years.
