Conservation easement protects Brown’s Pond watershed

One-third of the 39-acre property owned by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Inc. will protect the Brown’s Pond watershed in perpetuity now that a conservation easement has been acquired. Brown’s Pond is part of the City of Newburgh’s system for drinking water.
