Connecticut River watershed projects await frozen federal dollars

Progress on environmental projects near the border of Cheshire and Sullivan counties remains stalled due to January directives from the White House to freeze federal grants and funding. Although the Connecticut River Conservancy learned late last month that other federal money it was awaiting had been unfrozen, an $11.5 million grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture was still inaccessible this week.
