Buker Ranch conservation easement receives funding for final phase

The Ravalli County Commissioners voted to approve $185,000 in Open Lands Bond funding for the Buker Ranch conservation easement, preserving more than 150 acres of historic Bitterroot Valley farmland. The easement project, sponsored by the Bitter Root Land Trust, will conserve farmland at the edge of the Bitterroot National Forest used primarily for hay production and livestock grazing.
