A 66-acre county park is coming to Johns Island

A county park coming to Johns Island will give the public access to waterfront land. In 2018, Johns Island residents raised concerns that decades of development had significantly reduced their access to waterways. In response to this need, the Lowcountry Land Trust secured 66 acres of waterfront land and worked with the Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission to transfer ownership and protect the property with a conservation easement.
