190 acres to be preserved south of Bozeman

County commissioners have approved about $1 million in Open Lands Program funding to help secure the Kent Spur Conservation Easement, thereby preserving about 190 acres. The land is owned by members of the Bos Family, who have been farming in that area for nearly 70 years. The farming operation has passed through four generations, according to Gallatin Valley Land Trust, which will hold the easement.
