$160K grant secures key forest near Minnewaska

A $160,850 grant has been secured by the Rondout-Esopus Land Conservancy for conservation efforts adjacent to Minnewaska State Park. This funding, part of a larger initiative, will be used to purchase a conservation easement protecting 19 acres of diverse forestland in the town of Wawarsing, directly adjacent to the park. The conservation easement is crucial for protecting local water resources and maintaining a heavily used recreational corridor.
