RAPID 5

Our vision is for an interconnected regional park and greenway system in central Ohio. RAPID 5 stands for Rivers And Parks Imagination Design, and “5” refers to the five major waterways in Franklin County. These waterways run north-south, and are distributed evenly west to east – Big Darby Creek, Scioto River, Olentangy River, Alum Creek, and Big Walnut Creek. The RAPID 5 interconnected greenway vision will connect 80 municipalities, nearly 40,000 acres of parks, and hundreds of miles of trails to bring all our residents within 1.5 miles of the region's natural and cultural resources for purposes of conservation, recreation, commuting, commerce, education, and relaxation.
