The purpose of the Lackawanna Valley Conservancy is to protect, preserve, and acquire, for the benefit of the general public, natural resources in the Lackawanna Valley and nearby areas in Northeast PA. Also to acquire, protect, and preserve historical, cultural, and scenic sites and resources and to educate the public regarding the conservation of these resources.
